Featuring

Krisztina Szabo, mezzo soprano
Peter McGillivray, baritone
Peter Tiefenbach, piano

Villains & Vixens is a rollicking romp of songs and arias from the worlds of broadway and classical music. The program features two of Canada’s leading opera stars in mezzo soprano Krisztina Szabo and baritone Peter McGillivray alongside national treasure Peter Tiefenbach on piano. Audiences can expect to deliciously explore the darker side of human nature, while experiencing some of the most unforgettable and dangerous music ever written. Along the way we meet characters such as Don Juan, Carmen, Mack the Knife, Captain Morgan & Mr. Hyde.

Villains & Vixens has been featured in front of a sold-out and raucous crowd at Ottawa Chamberfest (video available upon request) and as part of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games celebration zone festivities.

“The finest singing of the evening came from baritone Peter McGillivray... He caught the colour and nuance of every word in his lines and delivered them with a round, cultivated tone that perfectly reflected his character’s self-satisfied suavity.”
